This app specifically focuses on services that support older people to remain living independently in their own homes. The Seniors Southern Services Directory app covers services available in the cities of Onkaparinga, Holdfast Bay, Marion and Mitcham.

The Seniors Southern Services Directory app is part of a multi-faceted resource that includes an iPhone app, an iPad app and a paper-based booklet directory which have been developed by the Southern Services Reform Group. Information found in the app can be viewed and printed from the Southern Services Reform Group website www.ssrg.org.au

Additional community-based information can be easily accessed through the Seniors Southern Services Directory app as it includes numerous interactive connections to other relevant and informative community-based online databases and directories.

There are three main sections within the app:

•Directory – This section contains information about services and has the capacity to be interactive via phone, mail, and website.

•Definitions – The definitions section provides concise explanations of commonly used community sector terms and services.

•Options - This area contains a range of factsheets that broadly focus on enablement. Health and well-being factsheets include titles such as the Right Outlook, Move Naturally, Eat Wisely and Connect. Pre- admission Checklists for Consumers and Carers and Discharge Checklists for Consumers, Carers and Health Professionals are included in this section

This app and the additional resources is a convenient and helpful tool for health professionals as well those people working in community services and health consumers.
